Redhead

In addition to the international/national bird conservation plans, the GCJV has it's own set of conservation plans, designed specifically for each Initiative Area and their specific priority habitats. The GCJV also has conservaton plans for a subset of priority species, and is working on developing plans for all GCJV priority species. In addition to these Initiative Area and species plans, the GCJV also maintains several habitat monitoring plans, designed to document various remote sensing-based habitat monitoring efforts. These plans are complemented by GCJV affiliated research conducted by both university-based and federal and state wildlife researchers, targeted to help test many of the assumptions made in the biological planning process.

Note: These are truncated versions of detailed plans for each species or guild. Detailed plans can be found within the current GCJV conservation plan section above.
